An associate professor of Psychiatry at the University of Vermont Medical Center, Sanchit Maruti, MD, has an international background in various biotech and healthcare consulting roles for almost a decade before pivoting to medical school. After completing his residency at the University of Vermont, Dr. Maruti received a Mass General Brigham Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Maruti currently serves as the Attending Inpatient Psychiatrist and Medical Director of the Inpatient Psychiatry Service and Addiction Treatment Program at the UVM Medical Center.

In addition, Dr. Maruti has received training in psychotherapy and executive coaching and has lectured and published extensively on a range of topics, including The Use of Therapeutic Metaphor on an Addiction Consult Service and Opioid Use Disorder and Suicide.
